Mu-Lan Youth-Theatre

The youth theatre meets once a week and some of our members have even appeared on television.

Ruth Quach and Marc Wynter appeared with Paul Courtenay Hyu in a sketch for Banzai on C4

Jade Le has narrated on C4's documentary, "Changing China"

In both cases, the members were paid as if they were professional with Mu-Lan negotiating their contracts. The experience has persuaded both Ruth and Jade to pursue a career in acting.

The show is a devised piece lasting 20 minutes about a young chinese person named Jo, who decides to take a chance and audition for a new film, produced by the world-famous Rubber-Chicken Film Studios...

The story, masks (worn during the show) and dialogue for the show were all created during the sessions by the youth members themselves at our new venue: The Albany Empire in Deptford, South East London.

We meet every Saturday from 11am to 1pm during term-time and each session costs £2. Please come along and join in the fun!
